So basically I wanted to boost the mic output from the 3.5mm jack mic - This mixer includes a microphone amp which I thought worked with the 1/4" line in (I have an adapter on my mic jack) - but I get no output at all,įrom reviews, the mic sounded really good, and it still sounds decent, enough for a quick recording, and much easier when playing with friends than having my whole mic set up

Well that is one factor, but the problem is the mic level on the headset is quite low, I have to apply 10 to 20db boost in windows so that the levels come out audible when in comms I chose those 3 companies for their good quality product, amazing tech and rma support and because I've been using their products for several years now and they are extremely reliable.
This is on and are about the same price as the mixer you bought. I have work with most of these audio interfaces, they are good value, very stable for the price and easy to use/configure. They are small, not very expensive, you can use them as an audio interface in windows and it will most likely improve the audio quality(if you hear the difference). I would go for an external USB sound Card with 1 or 2 mic pres(because most of them have more than 1 mic pres). Is there a better product you can recommend? I can happily return this and order something else no problem (has to be avaialble in the UK)
NOTE I just connected my headphones ONLY to the mixer (which works great) and my microphone to the PC, however the microphone is recording louder than before even though it is not running through the amp. Ignore where the dails are.I was just playing around with them the photo was just to show the cables I had connected If its the wrong product I need to return it as I need something that will run both XLR mics and normal 3.5mm jack microphones
I am currently not using an XLR microphone (yet.until I order my electrovoice re320) I was hoping this would also amplify the microphone on my mx300

True that, unless you have an option in your driver to disable the Direct output of your recording strip. Usually Main and phone/ Ctrl room are on seperate output channels. This should not affect the HeadPhone channel(unless mentioned in the manual). I notice that on your picture, the gain lv is a 12 o'clock and the output of the strip is maxed out. Do you have a mic lv on your headset? if you do, put the line lv on the mixer Unity(should be labled as a U or a 0 on the knob) and ajust your mic lv with your headset level. Mic needs to be connected to the XLR plug. Thank you for you're help.Line in on a "professional" mixer is use to connect Guitard or keyboards. I hope i am able to figure this out soon.

These items here were what i was going to use to get audio from pc to the mixer and then to my headphones which are 3.5mm:Īlso, my xbox one has a Toslink cable.is that why i need a audio interface? What about this: Īs you can tell i'm very new to this. Is this what i need so i can actually hear my own voice in my headset? From what i understood i also need to get a audio interface because my mic isn't USB? Dave, you recommended the Behringer UCA 202 interface. I think i will go ahead and get the 802 (non USB). Thank you for the replies! This really seems out of my comfort zone.I don't have the USB version.
